How can I become a Ministry Partner with the Ten Talents Foundation?

CTTF offers Ministry Partnerships to eligible 501c3 organizations and churches that align with our mission and values. Ministry Partners receive networking opportunities and information about charitable opportunities from TTF.

For more information about becoming a Ministry Partner, please contact us directly.

Does the Ten Talents Foundation have any geographical restrictions on charitable giving?

While TTF and our donors are primarily focused on supporting organizations that serve California’s Central Valley, we occasionally do make gifts for projects outside of this locale.

Does my organization qualify to receive a donation from the Ten Talents Foundation?

Organizations are eligible to receive a donation if they are an IRS registered, tax-exempt 501(c)3 whose mission statement does not conflict with TTF’s Statement of Faith.

The IRS specifically does not allow charitable distributions that:

  • Provide private benefit to the giver or a related individual
  • Pay dues or membership fees
  • Purchase tickets to a charitable event or benefits, such as banquets, golf tournaments, auctions, or sponsorships
  • Pay a pledge made by a giver to another charitable organization
  • Pay for school tuition, except within the context of an established scholarship program
  • Support charities on the terror-watch list; or
  • Support a political party or candidate for election.

General

What is the Ten Talents Foundation?

TTF is a Central Valley-based foundation that is on mission to mobilize generosity for greater kingdom impact in our community and beyond.

What is a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)?

A donor advised fund is a charitable account that a 501c3 sponsoring organization has legal control over while the donor retains advisory privileges.

What are the benefits of a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)?

A DAF provides you the opportunity to take part in the grantmaking process without the work and expense of operating a private foundation. Giving with a DAF can be a tax-efficient way to conduct your philanthropy. DAFs can reduce your tax liability while increasing your charitable impact.

What privileges would I retain if I established a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)?

DAF holders can recommend grants to eligible community organizations. TTF performs due diligence to ensure the recommended grantees are qualified, viable organizations in good standing. Grants are then approved by both the DAF holder and the TTF Board of Directors.

Who can open a Donor Advised Fund with the Ten Talents Foundation?

Anyone who has heart for helping our community can give through TTF. Starting a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) with TTF requires an initial deposit of $10,000. You can also make a gift of any amount at any time to one of TTF’s general unrestricted funds.
